Plot summary[ edit ] Katherine Johnson, a New York journalist , befriends businessman Jack Fox in order to write an article on his business success. Fox learns that she plans to expose him as a Mafia member and nephew of a Mafia family, and he has her killed. Her ex-husband, Blake Johnson, an ex- FBI agent now heading a special unit in the White House learns of the death, and he vows to destroy Fox and all he represents. Together with Hannah Bernstein, a Detective Superintendent with Special Branch and Sean Dillon, an ex- IRA gunman and mercenary now working for the British government on black operations , he launches a series of operations to bring Fox down.

Interesting storyline about pursuing a mafia killer. If Johnson and Dillon want to take him on, they will have to face his own brand of revenge. A good read for on the beach or traveling. I read it and now I feel he should have never visited me. I loved this one literally could not put it down and read it over the course of an afternoon! The plot was over the top, but that just made this light read even more action packed and fun.

Day of Reckoning Story line is pretty unbelievable but what the hay, I read for fun and it was a fun fast read. The reader did an excellent job portraying the different voices.
There is a lot of potential to this story but it bogs down with the sheer number of characters all taking advantage of the situation to play out their own long dreamed of plans of revenge. Body count is all really bad dudes.

I read Oliver Twist when I was six. Not because it was a classic, but because it was a book that was available. I just loved reading. He proved to be an indifferent student and left school with few formal qualifications. In he began two years of National Service , at first with the East Yorkshire Regiment ,  and later as a non-commissioned officer in the Royal Horse Guards Regiment of the Household Cavalry  doing security work on the East German border. He chose the school for its "history of nonconformism".
